TIDES EDGE Posted June 14, 2014 Report Share Posted June 14, 2014 poults or exlay ? my pheasant and duck poults arrive end of the month rushing around like a blue **** fly at the moment getting ready ,just got back from putting up the partridge pens on the cover crops as these need doing before the maize comes up ,it has allready started so just in time its all go at the moment, mind you it never seems to stop always some thing to do. Scully Posted June 14, 2014 Author Report Share Posted June 14, 2014 Ex layers for rough shoot; poults for syndicate don't come until beginning of August. We only have 8 Partridge! Landowners Mam likes to see them around so we're not allowed to shoot them so only pay for a handful. She is also raising quite a few pheasant from eggs (and there'll be many more from ex layers) and with last years survivors and wild broods thriving plus surrounding shoots birds we have no idea of numbers now so return numbers will be highly inaccurate this next season. TIDES EDGE Posted June 19, 2014 Report Share Posted June 19, 2014 Had a phone call yesterday to say that the ducks were coming today 9 am , good job there is not much work involved ponds have water and grass was cut so all was ok , they arrived and went out well in fact they took to it like ducks to water They will be on grower pellet untill saturday so got to get some wheat bagged up so here we go again !.
