Aaz
Morning all Just looking for some advice regarding the chip and pin devices that use your mobile, I'm currently looking at either World Pay Zinc or Payleven as both have 2.75% transaction fee and when compared to others on the market, these 2 options seem to have an 'acceptable' transaction speed. Any recommendations/preferences or even alternatives would be great
aris
PayPal do one. Hooks up to your mobile and does full chip and pin. https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/credit-card-reader Edited June 21, 2014 by aris
HDAV
PayPal fees are OTT, you can get seperate merchant facilities and rent a terminal. There is an iPad app attachment in the us which was supposed to be coming to uk/Europe but its gone very quiet Edited June 21, 2014 by HDAV
aris
Using the chip and pin device, they are the same for PAYG transactions as worldpay zinc. If you have a huge number if transactions, then yes, there are better alternatives.
JABB
Do you need to take deposits? Most won't allow it. Zink will IIR
kingo15
Barclaycard anywhere is only 2.6%. The set up fee is £60 but if you are interested a friend of mine works in said department and I can get it for £30 under friends and family. Aaz
No need to take deposits. That Barclaycard seems interesting, even better as my business accounts are with them. Another bonus I expect is Barclay's is better known and my customers would trust this more than one they had never heard of. Thanks for the heads up Kingo, I'll have a look into this

lxtav
No not with the chip and pin it did when it was just a signature you used but now takes pretty much any normal card either visa or MasterCard. It's linked up with santander business so it has a pretty big banking partner. Edited June 22, 2014 by lxtav
aris
I like the PayPal solution as it is integrated with online sales, and chip and pin. You can even take card payments on a smartphone without a chip and pin device, with some caveats though. People recognise the brand too. It used to have bad brand image, but that has changed greatly over he past several years. I always pay by PayPal if offered the choice. It's much safer.
