bisondan
That fish is mint Penelope. I remember catching my first ever barbel a couple of years back, it was at night and I fell asleep touch-ledgering with the rod in my hand and was woken up by the bit which tried to pull it out of my hand. At first I thought It had snagged me then it started to move and I honestly thought I had hooked a monster but it was only 7lbs but was just the best fight I had ever had heightened by the bit of river I was fishing not very wide at all. Penelope
Looks like those otters are having an impact. Classic injury. Third time lucky(null) I think that may happen on a lot of Wye beats as salmon stocks improve. Not been this year yet but got told last year that stretch was going game fishing only ? Sir_Adam
I'm not so sure... This looked more like a deformity than injury. It was completely healed and smooth as if it had never grown
