Roost Shooting

I think it depends on the wood where youre shooting. If they are Fir woods I go later, possibly around 3 30pm ish, but some of the woods I have access to you can shoot all day as the 'woodies' use them as 'sitty' trees between meals, so its go when possible. A bit of advice i would give is do some Pigeon reconnisence before you ever try and shoot anywhere. Golden Rule.......go to the Pigeons as they wont come to you!

Just out fiddling with me high chair on sunday hundreds of pigeon flying into the woods and just sitting at around 11ish

 

Did'nt take a musket though :blink:

 

Last week had a poor morning on a promissing field of rape, was driving back home past the wood at 2pm, pigeon flying in from all directions :blink: stopped and parked up and had a plesent couple of hours and a good end to what started out a poor day :lol:

 

This week in the wood at around 3.45pm It took another hour before they started to come in
