arjimlad
My son & my wife cooked a rabbit pie yesterday using his first bunnies. We generally slow-cook the bunnies, starting in the morning, and take the meat off the bone to make the pie later in the day. However, a crowd of probably 20 or more green-bottle flies gathered in our kitchen during the course of the day - seemingly attracted by the smell of the rabbit cooking in the slow cooker. I've never had this happen before in 20 years of cooking bunnies. It was of course unusually hot weather but my wife had to shoo all the flies out then shut the windows & doors on a very hot day. Has anyone else experienced this ?
aris
Lots of insects about - possibly due to the mild winter.

arjimlad
That's just what we had to do, but on one of the hottest days of the year it was no joke !
