adamskiseal
I am off to have a look at a Pulsar N550 tonight, is there anything I should check for before handing over my hard earned cash? Adam
foosa
The screen on mine started playing up last week after 4 years use, it would go blank then image would be very dark and faint every time caused by recoil from .223, I'd give it a standard faulty electrical item tap on the side and it comes back ok! It's going for repair this week. Your ideal would be to see it working on a rifle in the field, failing that check the lenses are ok, buttons feel good and work as they should and the battery terminals ain't corroded or any signs of abuse, cracks in the body or nasty looking dents suggesting it's been dropped. Make sure you get the instructions and accessories with it. ( remote lead and USB cable). Other than the recent issue mine has been great especially with the right ir torch and has had a great deal of use, can't wait to get it back working ok. wymberley
Switch it on with the lens cap on. How many white dots can you see? Check it focuses fully - not just in someone's back garden but at a good 100 yards or more.
