Steveg01
Hello PW colleagues I am thinking of applying for a .223 rifle to add to the .22 & .17hmr that I have already got. Does anyone know of anywhere near to Hull (Yorkshire) that I could gain some experience of using this calibre?? Thanks in advance. Cheers Steve
srspower
Yeah my FEO asked for experience for a .243. The thing is the police have no legal right to ask you for that especially when you consider the person giving you experience is technically breaking the law! Steveg01
Not sure I understand? I personally would prefer to gain the experience myself, just as I did with the shotgun and 17hmr
pstenson123
Just put in for it - I did & got it first application I put in for .22, hmr & 22.250 & got them, didn't ask for any proof of experience from another shooter. Good look. Paul
Scully
Unless you've already been told to gain CF experience by licensing I'd simply just go ahead and apply. The same criteria regarding safety apply equally to RF as they do to CF. If you already shoot . 22rf and .17 HMR then I can't see how they could justify mentoring, but that doesn't mean they wont try! Give it a go and see what happens.
