Wiggum
I've been out today with a mate we had a mixed bag of 30 woodies/crows and ferals picked with about 10 lost. Some really testing shots with a very strong wind behind some of the pigeons. The action was sporadic and all the birds I saw last weekend seem to have pretty much disappeared there were 500 + on the freshly harvested rape but we couldn't shoot last week as the game keeper had first dibs. Paul taylor
I went fishing on the river Dearne near Harlington today. Don't know if it was anyone off here but sounded like someone was having a cracking day, would have been good shooting too as wind was ridiculous! ShropshireSam
I was out on wheat stubble yesterday (Sunday). Had steady traffic interspersed with rain showers and farmer clearing bales from the around me. Picked 65, the majority were not good sporting shots as flying low into the wind but had a couple of screamers that turned into the wind. Not as much fun as last Monday when I had similar high winds but was under a flightline so could shoot at numerous pigeons that were pulled in range but did not commit to the decoys.
