TDS Posted August 18, 2014 Report Share Posted August 18, 2014 All receivers are the same so will take a 3" mag barrel....the difference is the action sleeve which is heavier.. If you fit an 1187 3" chambered field barrel you can use your standard sleeve as the compensation for the extra gas is in the barrel ring.. I have done this swap and it works...the beauty of the 1187 barrel is that you now have a multichoke option instead of the older fixed chokes Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
