ibrahimaslan7
I have a choice of either of these air rifles for same price second hand. Gamo Shadow .22 with Hawke scope or Hatsan Striker 1000 .22 without scope. I want a decent rifle for target practice but also hunting eventually. My budget is £100 max so have a very limited choice. Can anyone recommend which to go for?
Westward
I think they're both built by SMK using either the XS 18 or 19 platform and if that's the case the Gamo sounds a better deal.
onatangent
Speaking from experience with two warranty returns and slow experience with bsa who handle gamo issues I would pick the hatsan. I had the gamo whisper igt .22 which was taken back by bsa for a full refund after 5mths and now have a hatsan at44-10 which is great. Rimfireboy
I've got a striker, it's Turkish made. Fairly tough but no frills rifle that I've used to good effect on many kinds of vermin. For the money, they're good enough and do the job. Can't comment on the gamo.
