12boreblue
Popped into my local gunsmith to pick up a part for my semi auto, I noticed a shabby side by side in the rack and enquired about it. Turns out it is a sable deluxe SS in shabby condition, handed in to be destroyed. I bought it and had it reregistered for £50 including a slip. It needs the barrels re-bluing and tidying up as a bit pitted. Action is tight and in good condition. Stock has a few marks but otherwise in good condition. Am hoping to re-blue the barrels after rubbing it all down. Have no info on this gun so can anyone let me know if I can identify age, quality or anything else. It has nice engraving but is a bit discoloured, any tips on cleaning would be a great help. Bores are in great shape so pleased with purchase. What do you guys think? Alycidon
Sable used to be sold by GMK, tidy decent quality weapon sold at the time against AYA. Might be worth talking to GMK with the serial number. Worth the money. A
fenboy
They are a fairly common SxS that were toward the budget end of the market , decent enough guns , I guess if its a bargain depends on the work required I have seen nice conditioned ones selling for £200 -£
Andy H
Post some pictures of the proof mark's and it can be dated from that.
