hi guys, ive been working on a hand held spotter and have intergrated my 501b into the case and wanted to power it from the 12v battery which ran everything else so i bought and fitted a 12v to 3.7v converter (photo below) and although my torch lights up ok its pulsing on an off... so wondered if anyone had used one of these and knew if it could be this doing it? i tested the torch with a 3.7v battery before i cut and fitted it into the case so know it worked then

edit to say all joints are soldered / heatshrunk so it isnt a loose connection

 yours is fine and on its way to you this is one of my new toys

I always check it once i have the soldering done on the driver to see if ok, then i put the driver back in the T20. You do get the odd dodgy converter ( and thay explode if you cross the wires as i found out when i didnt have my glassess on) The ones i used in the past used to be Y+ R- but these ones are R+ Y- ??? Thats when mine went bang (its like a party popper but 20 times the crack & **** flys all over)
