neil3728 Posted October 21, 2014 Report Share Posted October 21, 2014 Not sure how accurate this is, but I found this on another forum. The Winchester can be dated by the serial number. There are three letters in the serial number, ignore the first (that's the gun type) convert the last two from the list below. eg 12HZY4567 = a gun made 2012..Z=1Y=2X=3W=4V=5T=6R=7P=8N=9M=0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
