-ben-
I'm looking for some advice on night vision scopes I don't know allot about them. I'm looking for a night vision set up ideally under £500 and good shooting foxes out to about 300 yards further would be better as would be handy for spotting but then it gets expensive. Does anyone have any for sale or know how to build one as? Any advice would be great thanks Ben
FalconFN
Do You want a night vision scope like the Yukon Photon and ATN X-sight or do you want to have a unit that attaches to your day scope like the NS200? Do you want to look at a screen or through a viewfinder? There are quite a few different setups around now so you should be able to get exactly what you need. You can build either type yourself for much less than £500 (typically £150 - £200) but you will benefit from reading up on it first - there is a very good UK based night vision forum that has tons of info. I've just been zeroing my latest and best DIY version that I made for around £75, it will spot out to 300 yards and I can see pretty well without illumination under a half moon. steve_b_wales
The Cobra Merlin with DSA is an excellent bit of kit,but has to be used with a PA scope to get the best out of it.
