pin
What a superb day! Good to meet up again, great venue Lakenheath with some interesting targets Started off split up into two groups for a round of skeet, in our group myself, BTMS, StealthStalker, tosspot and simonp. The rejects made themselves feel better by calling themselves "the A team" but despite this failed to produce an armoured vehicle from gaffer tape and things left carelessly lying about in the store cupboard Scores on the doors :- Pin: 24 BTMS: 23 tosspot: 21 StealthStalker: 20 simionp: 16 (first proper go, well shot mate!) Then we headed off in the same groups for some sporting, we started off on stand 19 and worked back over, missing out one stand which was impossible due to the sun. We did them as 6 targets a stand as pairs on report, with the last pair as simo if it looked like it was hittable The counters stopped working on 600 clays so we only shot 2 targets as a simo pair on the last stand making it 92 targets. simonp had to run off to his unborn child's 21 week scan (we will let him off) so he only shot 60 targets. Scores on the doors :- (some dodgy maths on the sheets there lads, who added those up ) Pin: 77 tosspot: 74 BTMS: 68 StealthStalker: 65 simonp: 21 simonp was using my gun but BTMS and tosspot realised it wasn't fitting him very well and he moved onto BTMS's gun which has a raised comb. We had a break for a full English and then back out for another load of sporting. Round the other way this time with 8 targets a stand for the first 16 stands and 6 at the last two (running out on the counter again) making it 140 targets in total. We varied it a lot this time with more stands taken as simo pairs for all 8 targets, the last pair round the other way. The rest we shot as on report with the last pair always simo (just to make it interesting) Scores on the doors :- tosspot: 116 (very well shot mate) pin: 108 StealthStalker: 93 BTMS: 87 Since "A team" have done percentages, here goes :- tosspot: 83% pin: 81% BTMS: 69% StealthStalker: 69% simonp: 43% (cracking since he doesn't own a gun yet!) Couple of pics :- [ left to right: StealthStalker, Pin, SuffolkShooter, Martin Cavie, tosspot, Mungler, Louis Valentine & Farmerguy.22 ] And another this time with BTMS instead of me as he was taking the first pic Overall a fantastic day out, some cracking shooting and great company! Suffolk shooter
Probably on his way down to yours BTMS for the **** up and then he'll want a round of sporting tomorrow at Lakenheath I think we need to plan the next day carefully to ensure that LB gets the right Date this time. No excuses LB, you pick the date, we'll pick the Venue, Horne I think was mentioned. If you want to meet up before for a quieter round mate, give me a shout and we'll sort something out. SS PS Where is LB He did promise a tutu or was IT RED BOOTS Oh my god is that why he said he got the wrong date, he wasn't at home watching TV, he was the TV SS
