talpa
Hi all, just a thought the fiat punto, I have a 53 plate 1.2 petrol it does 57 mpg and very roomy inside for all my shooting gear. It was the wifes car before me for five and a half years and its not been any trouble and has cost us nothing since we have owned it, the hilux is now parked up most of the time. You can pick up a newer type punto for for surprisingly not a lot. (and they are good on fields/snow) Richard. Fuj
Toyota Yaris, Micra and Honda Jazz are all very reliable cars although Hyundai I10 08 reg on seem to be okay too.
dawntredder
Go for another Micra. They are superb cars, and your wife will notice a huge difference if she takes a newer model out for a test drive. leave it out!!

MartynGT4
A mechanic friend of mine reckons if it weren't for French cars he'd be out of business! I know one for for certain, it'll be a cold day in hell before I buy another Citroen or Peugeot.
