secretagentmole
Well I had to take it out today. The latest addition to Mole Armoury. It needed to be set up, this would involve removing the shims from the Sportsmatch mounts. Zeroing in to 10 then 25 metres. Checking grouping, down to under a 10p at 25 metres. Odd fliers caused by coughing/ Still not quite over the chest infection I had over Christmas and New Year. The wind was low and the mist was rolling in. This means that the grey ghosts were at a slight disadvantage sight wise but not noise wise. I was still sounding like a 30 a day man. Been over 4 years now since I gave up smoking. Would not have guessed it listening to me trying to be stealthy sneak, hack, cough, sneeze, choke. But finally perseverance and sheer determination paid off. The Hatsan Galatian is a gun that performs, albeit with a very percussive hammer. It makes more noise at the hammer than the barrel! It has been power checked and is turning out 10.76 ft lb. This is expected to rise slightly as it beds in. Currently running on Crosman Premier Ultra Magnums for best grouping and power combination. Ladies and Gentleman, Hattie makes her debut in the field! Must clean that damned lens! Edited January 4, 2015 by secretagentmole

secretagentmole
Oddly it is very well balanced for a Tac stock. I usually find them very nose heavy, this has a lot of weight in the rear stock and being both cheek height and reach adjustable it is a very comfy gun to hold. Whitebridges
Well done SAM, good shooting. Do you use a .177 or .22? Any misses?
secretagentmole
I use .177 and .22. The Galatian is a .22 though! I have had more pigeons with .177 than I have with .22! Yes I had a few misses on Sunday whilst coughing! Edited January 5, 2015 by secretagentmole
