CZ550Kevlar
I have a set of spotlights to fit to my 4x4, I have the wiring all sorted and all the relays etc but the only thing I'm not sure about is can I wire them to my low beam or do they have to be wired to the high beam? The wiring loom has a switch that goes inside the vehicle to turn them on and off etc because of mot regs but didn't know if I can obtain my preference of low beam pairing. neil82
high beam only, only other lamps that can be used with dipped beam are fog lamps but they have to set properly to make sure they don`t dazzle other road users as for mot regs, spots don`t come into it, working or not Edited January 14, 2015 by neil82
TIGHTCHOKE
high beam only, only other lamps that can be used with dipped beam are fog lamps but they have to set properly to make sure they don`t dazzle other road users as for mot regs, spots don`t come into it, working or not As said HIGH beam only! Always used to be checked if they were fitted and not covered!
CZ550Kevlar
Excellent, thankyou for that. I will get probing the 3 wires to find the high beam.
neil82
As said HIGH beam only! Always used to be checked if they were fitted and not covered! auxiliary lamps are nothing to do with test, never have been, same for reverse lamps and front fog lamps, high level brake lamps can only be failed if they are the multi-bulb type and less than 50% are working, there`s a lot of places that fail cars for these faults that MOT computerisation was supposed to put a stop to, proberbly the same sort that fails a car for having a bald spare
