neutron619
I believe the HSE actually specify burning as the appropriate disposal method for small quantities of smokeless powder. Put the stuff in small piles (i.e. about what you'd get off a level teaspoon or less) on a piece of tin foil or oven tray (that you don't want) and light them with a taper. If you're feeling creative, you could run powder granules between the piles and watch them go one by one, though I certainly don't recommend this. As for primers, save them for bonfire night and use a sledge hammer to detonate them. The loudest bangs in my neighbourhood that night last year were made by me blowing up a year's worth of mangled primers (broken press) on a small anvil in the back garden. I was nervous about the first one, but I soon got through them without any real risk or inconvenience.
