kiffy
question for you sloe gin regulars... after buying a cheap bottle in lidls a few months ago i fell in love with the stuff.. my mate had a load of sloes in his freezer (he makes jams) left from last season so a month ago i made up two jars along with a jar of cranberry vodka as i had cranberries left from christmas in my freezer. the cranberries have lost a lot of colour as the juice mixed with the vodka but stayed the same size and shape, the sloes on the other hand have shrunk a bt and gone all wrinkly, is this normal? cant wait for this autumn so i can tase my sloe gin and make more... ive been told where theres loads of bushes locally and ive bought one for my garden, i even have three litres of gordons ready as it was on offer a couple of weeks ago and cheaper than own brand stuff
Hubris
Best thing I have found is tip them into a load of cider. It makes "slider" apparently. +1. Can't beat cracking a demijohn of slider with friends on a lazy summers afternoon..........
