Richie092
We are looking at getting a second dog, a rescue cocker spaniel about 6 years old and we have been told that the vet diagnosed a very mild cataract on her left eye but advised no treatment as it isn’t causing her any problems. I always understood that cocker spaniels suffered with eye diseases so am a little wary that this is the start of something worse. Also, would we still get insurance with a pre exisiting condition like this? She sounds like she will fit in perfect with our 15 month cocker we already have. What do you think? Richie092
Ah! That's what I was worried about. Thanks
loriusgarrulus
You won't be able to insure for an existing condition. If the other eye is fine most dogs will cope quite well.
Richie092
To be fair there are an abundance of rescue cockers out there so I think I will keep looking. This little lady, lovely as she was, is over 200 miles away as well.
