Scully
Anyone read this? It is an account of Helen MacDonalds training of a Goshawk as a means of coming to terms with the death of her Father. It won the 2014 Costa book of the year. I used to do a lot of work with various raptors, including Harris, Red-tailed kite, and various Saker/Peregrine type crosses. Fantastic days out with birds and ferrets, and great memories. Just wondered if anyone has read the book and what their thoughts were if so. Edited January 29, 2015 by Scully

Penelope
Yes, I believe she did. I heard an interview on Radio 4 the other day that she gave and she mentioned about when it saw a pheasant for the first time it seemed to know what it was and that it was prey. Did she train it to hunt?

ack-ack
This could explain why my father was a bit put out at my recent aquisition of a goshawk.
