Lord Geordie
Well i am like a cat who got the cream! Was looking to downsize the 1600 lump in my Rickman to a 1300 lump and decided to look about online only to find some places wanting over £300 for a Mk2 escort engine Just browsed Fleabay today and came across someone selling the VERY engine i need including the Carb the starter and manifolds etc 1975 engine with only 70.000 on the clock and starting at £15. I won it for £15 :( So a trip to Lincolnshire on Saturday to collect it and bring it home. Then get the engines changed over and sell on the 1600 engine as they seem to be WELL popular so shifting it shouldn't be a problem Well chuffed LG

Mungler
I had a touch the other day. Following posts about personalised number plates I stuck a bid on a plate which I noticed the bloke had advertised incorrectly (it would miss the key searches) and he had put it in the wrong section. Mine for £10.50. I and everyone I told immediately after the auction ended, said they reckoned he would bail on the auction and make some cock and bull up about how it was all a mistake and listed by his 3 year old without his knowledge etc. Anyways, get a phonecall the Monday after the auction ends - he is sheepish because he recognised it was his fault for listing it wrong, with no reserve and then going away for the weekend and not keeping an eye out - but he is going to honour it (and confirmed in writing and a copy of the retention cert sent over). I said I would send his missus a huge bunch of flowers if he went through with it - he is getting a new Porsche with a new number and was more worried about his ebay feedback! Axe
Crossflows are like rocking horse ****. I had a pair of 40DCOE's lying about, I wonder if I still have them. Now they would perk it up a little.
