rogo
hello all i have just bought a new tikka t3 tatical .223 i know its a fairly popular round with lots of users on this forum i would like like to hear which is the best performing factory load you have used all opinions would be welcome.(i will be using it mainly for foxes) With the 1-8 twist I would have thought a round of 55g or above would be best. I know Sako 55g softpoints get a good following.
kip270
As Frank would say American Eagle
Frank
As Frank would say American Eagle I have also found what rogo has said about the Sako 55 grain factory the same. I find it very good on deer, penetrates further. Frank.
tikkamark
the only round i have tried so far are the sako 50grain soft points they seem to be fairly hard hitting .Did any one try the remington accu tip rounds on foxes they seem to be a fair bit more expensive than the sakos? ronan nee
hey tikkamark. have been using accu-tip on foxes, there good as long as you dont mind spending (depending where you buy) €1.25 a round. a bit too dear for foxes, have also been using hornady v-max, but I am going to change to as frank says american eagle. good value at €10 a box and it does the job in one. ronan
