not sure what you mean by 50/50.

 

1) buy an electric fence

2) make sure you have clean water

3) worm with panacur in the water if they start sneezing

4) walk them in every night through pop holes

5) feed pellets as long as you can ideally all season, if not introduce corn from approx 10 weeks

6) have scratchers in the pen, tin roof about a foot off the ground

 

 

I can go on and on, i am sure others will add.

just make sure there is some cover they can hide in, woods are gd but make sure they can also get some sunlight, clean running water is also gd you can get those bell drinkers for quite a small fee now then just run them from a header tank

going buying about 100 pheasants for the coming season. ratio 50/50.

first time getting same so any advice would be great. ie the do's and dont's

Take a look on ebay for Game Conservancy booklets on gamebird rearing,also if you can get a copy of Game Conservation by Charles Coles that will tell you all you need to know, said by many to be the amature keepers bible.

unless you have at least some basic knowledge your returns may be very dissappointing, good luck :) D2D
