eon
Hi all and thanks in advance of help Could someone give me a ball park figure with regards to CPSA classifications? IE, based on shooting 100 targets how many would equate to a 'A' or 'B'class? I know that once you are a full member your registered shoots are sent off and calculated based on adjusted averages etc I just wondered on the basic numbers
100milesaway
It depends on what your shooting DTL , Sporting ,All round ,Skeet the Olympic sections all have very different levels of scores.. Most DTL comps are won on 100/100, as is skeet but for sporting it depends on the ground and who set the targets. Go onto the cpsa site and click on scores, put in someones name you know and all the scores will come up for that person including all the class scores. from Auntie. Nimbusgb
After 300 targets the CPSA will give you a temporary classification. All the info us on their site.

dougall
Sian, thanks for this,at what point do you get a classification...is it 3 registered scores then away you go?
Sian
when I started out, I attended three registered shoots in ESP and then I requested my classification from CPSA - they sent me a letter confirming obviously C class and then from there on in, they record scores and when it is time for them to evaluate - some move up, some don't depending on your averages. You can see on the website without being a member I think what the averages are for the different classes in the difference disciplines. When you are a member you can see your scores, your averages etc and anyone else's for that matter.
