sussex lad
Need to buy some scales capable of weighing a fox ,hence the question. Why?? I've been thinking about recording the foxes that we manage to shoot .nothing major just length, weight, sex, and condition out of pure curiosity more than anything. I already keep a game record of sorts on the PC so this is just an expansion of that

JohnGalway
The only fox I ever weighed I snared and she came in around 10lbs. Have had much bigger ones on the lamp since then but never bothered weighing them. Interesting stuff
Cranfield
There are so many factors that influence the weight of a fox, such as, sex, age , health , etc. I have always taken it that the average male is about 14 pounds, with the average female a couple of pounds lighter.
