I have a CZ 550 in 243 with removable mag.

What do you want to know Underdog ?

I used Privi 100 gr in it and it's dropped fox and fallow. I'm hoping to get on a Roe this summer.

I haven't used it as much as I would like to have, hopefully I can put that right.

Their operation, is it smooth?

Trigger, is it nice?

Stock, longish or short.

Groups?

:-)

I compared it alongside a Remington 770, 700 and a Tikka T3 hunter at the time.

The 770 action was horrible, the 700 was alright.

The tikka was the smoothest but the CZ wasnt too far behind and probably with polishing / alot of use it would be smoother than mine is.

The trigger I like, it's not too light and works well for me. A really nice feature is if you push it forwards it sets very light , I think about 1 lb. I wouldn't use this for hunting but if I'm doing some targets then it's handy for a very light trigger.

It's the only CF I've ever owned so not sure how the stock compares, it seemed bigger than the above mentioned rifles if I recall, I'm 6ft tall about 16st quite stocky and I like the fit.

The rifle grouped for me about 2" at 100 yards off a bipod in a semi windy field. With better ammo / home loads , a better scope and maybe a bench rest shoot up , or even someone who's a better shot than I , I'd like to think it would be better.

I may take it down Barry tunnel range one day this summer and see what the 75 gr balliatix tip foxing rounds I have group like.
