Some of you may have seen me tinkering with a new to me gun at Catton hall weekend. I bought a Winchester. Model 77 built between 1955 and 1963 in .22lr . It was giving me issues with loading so decided today to do a complete strip and remove the barrel and drop the action into me ultrasonic cleaner.... And so1/2 hour in the sonic cleaner and and abut of elbow grease looks like it removed years of crud and built up wax. So cleaned and oiled the action seems to be working lovely... I've even treated the stock to a coat of red root oil.

It's turned out nice so here's the pic

You need to start by shooting them silly old fashioned plates first

Them silly old fashion plates are crown derby and worth a few quid theres a full set including jugs and t pots...they wont be getting shot.

I like that little beauty, hope it shoots as well as it looks.

Andrew

it seems to group very well at 50yrds other day just was having extraction problems due to crud

Or better than it's owner :)

So if I drop my Brno round you'll clean it yeah ?? It won't even extract at the mo :( it's full of crud

Looks good to be fair
