Hi,

As per the title I have issues with the Imobiliser on my Ranger.

When I turn the key to start it just turns over and doesn't fire.

I am having to lock and unlock 3 times before then it starts straight away.

If anyone has had similar or has any ideas?

Any help/advise appreciated.

Thanks

I had a Mazda / ranger pickup that had the most irritating immobiliser ever fitted to truck . To get it to start you had to unlock the door and a low level beeping started . You then had to sit in the drivers seat and key in a prearranged code on a digital key board With in 20 seconds with the beeping get louder and louder .this tended to panick you into pushing the wrong buttons and setting the alarm off and immobilising the truck .i had the truck for a week and took it to my local auto electrician shop and had it removed . Qwhen I took it in they laughed and said we have somebody bring these alarms and immobilisers I every week to have them disconnected. Dear god it was pain . If you messed up keying it in the immobiliser kicked in and then you had to go through an exhausted re booting from a very complex manual . I reported the removing of the immobiliser to my insurance company and the charged me another £20 on my premium ,well worth it .
