iamspuddy
I have solid oak floors in my house and its not good for the dogs . I have a few rugs around but it still leaves a lot of space for them to potentially hurt themselves. Does any one know of a treatment or process I can do /put on the wood to make it more grippy? or will I have to cover it with Amtico or kardean flooring cheers

loriusgarrulus
I used to use Shaws paw wax when I did dog agility to give the dogs paws more grip. This might work for slippery floors. As cocker boy suggested keeping claws trimmed, also trimming excess hair under the paws should help too. http://www.viovet.co.uk/Shaws_Paw_Wax_Prevents_Slipping_for_Dogs/c6278/?quick_find=126494&gclid=CLn0nZep2sUCFeLKtAodXRIAHQ You can get polyurethane coatings for wooden floors with microbeads in for non slip, but I don't know how good they are. Maybe if you ask in off topic someone might have used a non slip costing on wooden floors and can reccomend one.
