Duckman91
Finn is growing up fast and is already 9kg at four months. No formal training yet but he will hup (sit), come back to two peeps and will follow and hunt where I point. He's not gun shy and things are looking positive. The only thing I'm having trouble with is if out in a walk, or in the house for that matter,if he picks something up ie a bit of grass or a stick or a pair of socks indoors I struggle to get him to come back to me. It's as if it's a game to him. He will come straight back like a rocket straight to me if he hasn't picked something up. Should I just ignor him and let him carry the item or should I make him give it to me by hook or crook? Thanks
bigbird
Haha he's a baby It should all be about bonding. First golden rule is NEVER chase him to get an object back. In fact act like you couldn't care less. Makes hoarding stuff much less interesting for pup, believe me. Just make sure he can't get to anything precious, expensive or of high value (to you or him)
subsonicnat
AWWW, Let Him Have A Bit Of Life, Picking Up Is Good For Now, DO NOT CHASE HIM. Let Him WANT To Bring It Back To You.. And When You DO Make A Game of It, He WANTS TO PLAY. Use That::::
