Pothunter
I'm finding it harder than I expected to find a ladies shooting vest with a gel recoil pad (or properly thick padding), which is not a skeet/clay shooting type vest but a more tweedy/country type garment. Can anybody recommend one, please? Price guide: < £100 happy > £100 resigned > £200 not paying. Thanks in advance.

Pothunter
Thanks for replying Luke. Appreciate it. Looking more for a fairly lightweight spring/autumn shooting vest with recoil pad, rather than an all over thicker thing. And uttings was where I started, but surprisingly little for women. Thanks for trying tho.
loriusgarrulus
I just buy the men's ones. As not worried about a fitted look with my ample figure. I have a separate gel pad that I slot in the inner pocket. Edited June 12, 2015 by loriusgarrulus
Pothunter
Thanks. Can I get mens' ones for a woman who's figure isn't ample, but who probably isn't bothered about a fitted look, either as long as it looks as though it fits (indeed, it's long as it fits)? Just buy small mens you reckon? Very much more choice if so.
loriusgarrulus
Just check the measurements carefully. If buying online don't go by vague sm m l xl. Make sure they give a full range of measurements. I have a wax jacket, wax coat, Tweed jacket that was my Dad,s, a clay shooting vest and a padded shooting vest for Winter all from the men's section . I also a load of men's check shirts too for shooting. I often find they are longer in the body and better made than the ladies ones so tuck in better
