spandit
Just sold my knackered Kawasaki Mule for £250, which I think was more than it was worth but for the short time I had it (and it worked) I think that type of vehicle is really useful but there are so many makes out there. Any recommendations on what to get? Can't believe the price of the things, though, £12,000 for a glorified quad bike? Wondering whether it might be worth buying an old Suzuki and cobbling a pick up back onto there...
kennett
We have a mule diesel 3010, and it is bloody amazing. Will cross some horrible terrain, including ditches on wet clay land with 10x25kg bags of wheat and 2 people, only been stuck once and the was in ruts that I reckon most tractors would slide about in. Your right how useful they are, fill the back with logs, dogs, birds or feed and sit in relative comfort with a roof and windows! We started off with an old vitara and it was no where near as capable, cost more to run and caused more rutting and damage in wet conditions Edited June 22, 2015 by kennett
spandit
Thanks. Our fields are only 10 acres but wet in places. It would be for lugging around loads of woodchip for mulching trees, as well as logs for when said trees are a bit bigger! My old Mule was 2WD and it struggled so I'd definitely go for 4WD next time around. Not too bothered about diesel as with the use I'll get, the saving from using red is not going to be great. Still stunned at how expensive they are, though...
spandit
Very tempted to buy an old Jimny and attack it with an angle grinder... at least it should have a heater
