Duckman91
my fac should arrive next week with .22 .17 and .223 I'm in no mad rush for a .223 but want a rimfire straight away. kelbrook are doing a deal on new cz455 thumb holes in .22 or .17 for 600 quid with a scope mod and bipod. do I buy a .17 new and get myself a cheap .22lr or get a new .22 and save a bit more then buy a .17 secondhand later on
steve_b_wales
.22 is probably the most versatile calibre ever made. Go for it.
BangBangNik
I nearly talked myself into the .22 package at Kelbrook but went down the second hand route. I still take a good look at it every time I go in for a drool.
superspark
.22lr rimfire is a very versatile tool when used with a mod. Depending on what you want to shoot, rabbits and other small ground game are no problem, super quite on subs. You have high volosity rounds for a little more reach, anything over that a .223 is the dogs dodars. The .17hmr is poor in wind conditions, noisy, over rated and personally I wouldn't bother with it. Before some one tries to slate me, hay, you asked the question and each to their own. Totally your choice, all the best.
bluesj
Or you could get a second barrel and mag for the 455 and have both
