misser
Am new to the dog training world and have read about these 'event markers' and 'clickers' for general dog training ie not gundog; just wondered how the more experienced trainers felt about this form of training for a gundog and could there be any cross over from the more conventional whistle training....thanks...atb... bigbird
Misser - my marker for her was 'good girl' in a squeaky girlie voice...... Doesn't matter what your marker is, whether clicker, 'good girl', blowing raspberries even - they know they've done right as long as the timing is spot on and immediate and paired with a reward to start with. They call it 'event markers' to confuse you when in fact it's probably what you've been doing all along or at least a version of that lol How're you getting on? x Edited June 29, 2015 by bigbird
