ghosthunter
Not sure but there are plenty of clay shoots which may help just a little with your "itch" Then again there is always this: http://www.nppc.co.uk/but Ive no idea how long it takes to get something

ghosthunter
I go to a small friendly shoot on Saturdays here: http://www.bcpshoot.co.uk/ Plus some Sundays I go to Rishton or Kelbrook. Occasionally go to Worsley too. If you ever fancy a trip across the M65 then give me a shout. I'm always looking for an excuse to get a few more clays in A farmer from over Preston way came into our works recently complaining about pigeons and how he didn't have the time to shoot them so I offered my services Problem is that he doesn't know me from Adam and as Im sure you know its hard to gain a strangers trust especially where guns are concerned. Im hoping that when he is sick and tired of losing his lettuce crop then he'll give me a shout. Until then, its a rabbiting I go with my trusty rifle and night vision kit Edited July 25, 2015 by ghosthunter

ghosthunter
Now that you're well into August, hows it going? There certainly isn't much going on around Lancashire as far as I can tell. I mean like, the arable farmers are here in areas but getting in through the door (or field gate) is nigh on impossible. I've tried long and hard for some pigeon but nothing doing. Even the farms that are complaining about it and admit they don't have time to do it themselves are reluctant. Looks like the clays are going to have to make do as a replacement although they make good practise to keep your eye in
Royboy
I went on Friday to southport and got 34 and shot like a complete idiot ! Then I went to Cheshire on Sunday and got 36 and shot better, You had any joy mate ??
ghosthunter
A bag of 34 and a shooting bad isn't too awful a result. The inclement and changeable weather really isn't helping matters I guess though. I've had no luck at all yet on the pigeons but I cant blame the farmers. If the shoe was on the other foot though I'd have to seriously think about it myself to let a complete stranger wander across my land with a gun too. I just go out a couple of times a week atm to bag a couple of rabbits for the pot. The night vision on the scope makes it easy though so I'm not out for too long which isn't a bad thing when its lashing down with rain
