diddy
Went into gun shop and seen a second hand version of the above, must admit it shoulder great and nice and light. Does Anyone here own one and what do you think?
Cosd
I've used my shooting buddies one, and its an excellent gun. Shoulders well, has a nice balance to it, I wouldn't say they are the lightest semi's out there, but i prefer them a little weightier for the hide anyway. If it has the kick-off system, recoil is exceptional; 32g gives very little recoil, 28g is almost non existent. No cycle issues experienced so far using a wide range of cartridges down to 67mm. I'm not sure if he's used 65mm carts in it so can't comment on that but had 3.5" heavy loads in there also and again the gun feels comfortable to shoot. I use the Extreme which is slightly different, but heavier again, so if weight is your thing then the Explor or even the A400 Light are both exceptional guns in my opinion. Redditch
I have one, and I now have 15,000-20,000 rounds through it. It's been perfect till this year (I used to use 28gr 7.5 but changed to 36gr 4 for the corvids, and only use those the last three years). This year it's started to jam intermittently (spent cartridge being caught by bolt before ejecting completely). I found the problem, and took me all of five minutes to cure once I had worked out what it was. Just a piece of plastic had peened on the end causing it to catch. A knife to bevel the plastic, and no more jams. LOL. And so smooth, light, and fast handling, with almost no recoil The peening is caused by the constant hammering of heavy cartridges, but normal cartridges shouldn't have that effect. Wiggum
I have the A400 xplor light and it's been brilliant, 3" chamber but I only use it for clays and hide work so don't need a 3 1/2" chamber. Never jammed and will happily cycle 65mm & 21gm cartridges. Also really easy to strip and clean, I would like to get a A400 excel action in a synthetic format in the future if I can scrap the cash together.
