registering a vehicle in the uk, help

got my new land rover series 3 today, it was imported from Guernsey by the bloke i bought it off,however its not been registered in the uk yet,

does anyone know how id go about this,

contact dvla there maybe import duty to pay on it

As the vehicle is in the EU, you will need the EU type registration. If you don't have that it will cost you around £250.00 to take it type marked LOL, but the type registration doc you could get direct from the maker)

Then it will have to get registration plates (maybe) unless it's on UK type plates already (like NI).

I imported a quad from Germany, and it was a right balls ache and took about 3 weeks

duty has been paid, it was previously registered in the uk

Did it go U/K Guernsey& back to U/K? If so you could trace original reg by vin no & D.V.L.A.

i think it was registered in the uk first, iv done a vin check and on most sites it came back as not recognized, and on another it came back as a disco 3.

iv just wrote to the DVLA to as what the score is.
