Paul in North Lincs.
A friend emailed me some photos ....I saved them to 'my pictures' and resized them and tried to post them on here in the usual manner...............for some reason I am unable to post them as they are too big? Presumably this is something to do with the fact that they are emailed pictures and not ones that were taken from my camera.......Any ideas on how to sort this little problem? cheers gents
pin
I think the file size limit per picture is 200k and there is a 300k per post limitation. You can get round this by simply posting a reply to your first post immediately after and it will appear as if it is one large post rather than a reply. Right click on the picture in my documents and choose properties - how big is it?

pin
JPEG images have a "quality" setting which along with the dimensions (in pixels eg 800x600) which will determine the size. First thing to try is knocking the size down to 800x600 or 640x480 - any bigger and its hard for people to see them. Check once done what the size is. If its still too big you can reduce the quality, how you do that will depend on what package you use to resize them. I use photoshop, when saving that asks you what "quality" you would like, 1 being the worst (small file) and 10 being the best (very large file).
