Underdog
Your not shooting it from a bench how you would your 22 by any chance?
welshwarrior
As UD says not a bench rifle ensure it fits mine does not significantly recoil, but as an answer to your question I'm restocking mine at the moment and will have either a kickeez or more likely an Isis recoil pad on the back end leather covered of course. kent
Also consider adding weight or even an in stock recoil reducer 375 ain't bad unless as people have said "shot from a bench" these rifles are generally designed to shoot off hand or kneeling etc. Stock type and fit is relative but I shouldn't shoot it free recoil or light contact from a range bench
welshwarrior
Only time I bench shoot mine is load development and that's using a full lead sledge removes me from the equation no recoil about 223 level. I will not set sights up be that zeroing a scope or regulating sight off anything other than stick because that how most of my shots are taken
Underdog
If your wanting to shoot it rested build the bench surface up so your back is vertical, your fore hand between rifle and rest. This way your back can flex under recoil as opposed to just your should getting a pounding. A folded newspaper under your coat shoulder does help too.
