flash
borrowing one of her old owners silver hobs to mate her with tomorrow, i know about the mating ritual, that its a bit vicious, and that handling them early can cause her to kill them as a form of protection. but i was wandering wether its right to put her back with the other three while shes pregers. got a seperate hutch, i can put her in there, but will she get lonely. and how long should the hob stay with her for, 3-4 days alright?also should the kits be born away from the others? sorry for all the questions, dont want to risk any of there precious little lives by screwing up. cheers flash

Ferretboy111
I suggest you research on the net, or buy a book that explains all about breeding ferrets before you venture into it. Jll can be kept with other jills untill about 1/2 weeks before she drops them, then put her in her own hutch away from everyone. Hob can stay with her for a few days yes. Make sure you have those homes sorted out for them, also make sure the father isnt related to your jill in any way. Alex Good luck, definately buy a decent book on it all though. Ferretboy111
She has only just come into season then? all my jills have been in and out already this year. Well id expect you would probably get the odd polecat, odd albino, and hopefully a few silvers- Could go either way with being light silvers or dark silvers. Bit difficult without knowing what the daddy's parents were. Alex

Have you organised a midwife? have you decorated the kits bedroom? Has she been moved indoors? I she being fed on only the finest organic food? :-) /Mad
