HDAV
Just in case anyone hasn't heard nelson clay ground has closed.... Real shame to see it go but I think the ground operator had lost his fight, not sure what will happen but I think most will move to SW2000 but a real shame to loose such a longstanding ground that started many Welsh internationals on their trap shooting career. Daieye
Yeah Its a real shame the ground has been going since the 70's, been going there myself for ten years and its now a trip up to mid wales s c or sw2000

foosa
That really is bad news, I remember when they had dtl selection shoots there, a good friendly ground with some very knowledgeable shooters and staff. DAIEYE, I've just twigged who you are! How's the foxing going, are you going for the Ireland internationals next year?
LARRO
Is that the ground that the Morgan brothers owned?
foosa
Is that the ground that the Morgan brothers owned?not sure if they owned it, they may have many years ago, or their dad? But both used to shoot it as their local ground for years.
steve_b_wales
Keith Morgan used to own it many years ago. I was a member there from 1983 -2005, and only stopped going because of finding time to go. I started my clay shooting there and qualified twice to represent Wales in International DTL competitions. Phil Ash has opened a club in Ewenny, called Dragon Clay Sports. I haven't been there yet, but intend going in the near future.
