Tomo-1
Hi, my gun cabinet is 48 inches high which houses a couple of side by sides no problem, 28 inch barrels, total length 45 inches. I am looking for a semi auto with maybe 28 inch barrel. I thought total gun length would be a standard listed criteria. Am I being daft (probably), I cannot find total length listed on manufacturers specification list! e.g Armsan 613, Winchester MX3 etc. I really dont want to buy a gun and find it doesn't fit my cabinet.......... Thanks.
Albert 888
You could get a 26" sx3 with a xtended choke. Will measure mine now and get back.
Albert 888
My 26" barrel sx3 with standard choke and no spacers in the stock is 47&1/4" long. You could take the barrel off and store in two halves.
AberFowl
I had a 10bore semi with 30inch tubes that was too long for the cabinet in one piece. just take gun apart and store in 2 parts. Takes seconds to take apart and put back together. Edited October 4, 2015 by AberFowl
fenboy
Its not just the barrel , length will also depend on chamber size as a 3.5 " chamber needs a longer action , so unless you need it buy a 3" or 2 3/4 " chambered gun.
Tomo-1
Thanks for all of your answers. I am looking for a gun to go onto the marsh with i.e. 3 or 3 1/2 inch chamber. Already have two 2 3/4 inch chambered guns in the cabinet.
