The warm days has got the local trout and grayling rising a bit more than they would normally do this time of year.had caught a small brownie on dry Greenwells earlier.Saw big swirl upstream and something made me tie on a greenwells spider pattern.Cast upstream and line straightened.landed this ten minutes later.had similar one last year never thought would ever repeat it.Small river near stockport.Guess about 3.5 to 4 lb.Swam off strongly. Will try to post pic.

PS how do i upload a pic off photobucket?

Cheers Rabo.Am no great shakes at fly fishing(or shooting) for that matter so am always chuffed with any result i do get.Have a good season yourself if you wet a line as well, which by the size of that pike i guess so!

same here vole21 not great myself ive been a we bit lucky with that big fish, she was 28lb, think a robbed myself in a few onces, couldnt get back in the water quick enough, think it was just over 4 years ago.i heard a few weeks after i caught it someone one else got it and kept her out of the water too long, they had no scales with them, they were askin about for some.and it died,., tight lines.
