Dicker
Hello guys My wifes current car is getting to the end if its economically viable lifespan, and needs to be replaced. We need somthing with 4x4, but really want an estate as we already have a big 4x4. Does anyone have experiencenif owning a Subaru Outback? Tonyc
I looked at it but bought the new Forester XC Diesel Auto as the Outback had no spare wheel (or space to put one), really pleased with the Forester and the off road capability is awesome if a tad low to the ground. Pretty good fuel consumption, getting around 40 MPH.
rwade545
I Have a new Skoda scout, 4x4, 50mpg( real world and not claimed figure), goes well and well equipped. May be worth a look?
zipdog
I owned an old subaru legacy estate and it was absolutely superb. Recently when I was changing cars I wanted a Subaru outback but the main problem was finding a Subaru dealership in my area, or at least one that I was prepared to deal with. In the end I bought an Audi A4 estate, quattro, and i am very pleased with it, although it is a bit lacking in ground clearance.
rwade545
I had an a4 Quattro before the Skoda scout- scout has raised suspension and some under body protection- under the engine lots of vw and audi labeled parts.

Marki
I had a scout. All a matter of what you want it for, good for bad weather 4x4 but not really for charging across fields.
