Has anyone got any tips for shooting old Roger rabbit in the daytime & without a ferret to get them out?

Have noticed a lot of burrows around the edge of one of the woods I shoot and have seen many a dropping in the fields close to the hedges. What is the best tactic and load to use?

The best thing i like doing when i shoot rabbits is sit in the hedge row with all camo on and wait. The best times are in the morning just as its getting light, about miday because they tend to come out for their lunch and the last and the best time is just as dusk settles and around what ever time its starts getting dark! If its just a couple of rabbits you want or even one i would go for a shot gun, i use a 20bore and it does the job but a 410 will be best. Air rifle if you tend to shoot a load of them because it has the advantage of noise. Hope that helped.

Get yourself a good quality PCP air rifle and silence it up to the eyeballs.

As long as you can get within 30 metres of them, you should be able to get quite a few before they twig. I tend to go out at dusk and about 9pm (with a lamp) and the results are usually good.

If you play your cards right, get the wind right and keep quiet when moving, you are bound to get within range of them. Just be careful about mud... It makes a really loud noise when you get a boot stuck and you have to pull it out!
