leadbreakfast
Put them on a car wheel smaller than the base to make it harder for rats
rimfire4969
We have introduced some of these in the pens and they have worked well and not attracted more rats than normal.
Elby
I'm missing something. How does the feed come out of the drum and into the tray?

rimfire4969
Just cut slits across the bottom and knock it in or you can just cut hole in As above. We cut 4 slots with a grinder in the drum 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock.and pushed in the top edge so the birds can peck at the gap and feed falls into the tray, there is a cone in the drum to force the feed to the edge of the drum. With the tray on an old tyre it lifts to to a good height for the birds. Big advantage we found is two of our pens in winter you cannot get a vehicle too as it would make such a mess and **** off the farmer so In the dry weather we filled the drums up. It has meant a lot less back and knee breaking carry bags of corn to these pens.
