Bluediamonds
Hi Guys. Noob on here, but have held my SGC for over 30 years. Used to do a bit of rough shooting but then got into Clays. My bro and I used to ge regularly once or twice a month and hoot 100 birders, but then things started to get silly with bullet prices and we both tailed off. Whilst I know prices havnt come down any, Id like to to try and get back to enjoying a 100 birder a bit more regualrly. Question is, where have all the shoots gone and where can I shoot economically ? I was a member at Churchills for a year - beautiful ground but a bit formal and expensive... I was a member at Broomhills and shot mideweek as a solo - that worked well and was cheapish as a member - but I now see its AGL and 40p/clay weekend non members. I enjoyed a shoot at Fleet Marston but I think thats gone. Also,we used to go to a shoot at the top of High Wycombe by the M40 that was always good. Hornet used to be good but tough and still going I see. That leaves Valley view as the nearest and probably the best option.... What have I missed ? Any recommendations or even shooters looking for a button pusher ?
Dunkield
Valley View is still going and is still a decent shoot (well it was last time we went about a year ago) Prestwood was the one at Wycombe - it is no more. You have this one as well http://www.agl-uk.com/shooting-ground#.Vp_0eCqLTIU Ah, just re-read your post you know about them What about Oxford Guns? dbob
AGL is worth a look, it's improved from the Broomhills days. Not cheap but if you take membership the clay prices come down and make it worth while if you go regularly. Also A1 Shooting is about 30 mins drive from Tring. http://a1sg.co.uk
