pinfireman Posted March 16, 2016 Report Share Posted March 16, 2016 The machinery that made the Winchester compression formed cases was on its last legs ,it was far too expensive to replace so they were discontinued a few years ago. Winchester still load but use parallel tube cases The Winchester .410 shells are not £400 per 1000 they are £688 per 1000 at just cartridges Deershooter Winchester USA (and Remington) still load compression cased cartridges, but the cost of importing them is prohibitive..........The only place you could get them cheap in recent years was the P/X at USAAF Mildenhall, and Lakenheath....
